pylucene software package provides Python extension for accessing Java Lucene (transitional dummy package), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pylucene
pylucene is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pylucene package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pylucene *
You will get with pylucene package name, version, architecture and description in a table
